‘Tis the season for giving.
It’s that time of the year again where we take out our warmest sweaters and coziest scarves. Most of us have already been wearing our thick winter jackets. Unfortunately, not everyone has the luxury to keep warm this season.
Two years ago, we had a great success with out first run of Operation Keep Warm. We want to keep this holiday tradition of giving, and keep spreading the Christmas spirit. And so this year, the AL13 team will be supporting Lookout Society with their mission to help adults who have few, if any, housing or support options.
Lookout Society is a charitable organization serving eight communities in Metro Vancouver. They offer a range of services and housing to adults who are destitute and require assistance. These services aim for these homeless men and women to regain and maintain stability and achieve a greater quality of life.
We will be collecting donations of sweaters, scarves, jackets, gloves, blankets and unused socks, and give them to Lookout Society to distribute.
According to Old Farmers’ Almanac, this year’s winter will be colder than normal, with above-normal precipitation and snowfall in southern B.C. With our humble donation, we hope to provide warmth to the people who are most in need of our generosity. We invite you to extend your spirit of giving, and help Lookout Society in providing care for the homeless. You can drop off your donations or donate online.
