Scope

This policy describes how Anenda Systems Inc. (“AL13®”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and discloses personal information about visitors to the AL13.com website or any other website, mobile application or online service that links to this policy.

Personal information

Personal information is any information about an identifiable individual or that permits and individual to be identified, but does not, in most circumstances, include business contact information where such information is used only for business communications.

Consent

AL13® collects, uses and discloses your personal information with your consent (which may be express or implied) or as required or permitted by law.  By providing AL13® with your personal information, you consent to AL13®’s collection, use and disclosure of that personal information in accordance with this policy.

Subject to legal and contractual requirements, and upon reasonable notice, you may withdraw your consent to AL13®’s further collection, use and disclosure of your personal information by contacting AL13® at the address provided below.  If you refuse or withdraw consent, AL13® may be unable to provide you with certain products, services or information.

Nature of collection

AL13® collects personal information directly from you or from interactions with you.  We may also collect information automatically when you visit the site (see Cookies and Similar Tools below).

The personal information AL13® collects includes your name, title and contact information and other information that you may choose to provide.

Our Purposes for Collecting Personal Information

AL13® collects personal information to:

  • Provide information, products and services you have requested, including product information and samples, and to follow up with you about our products and services;

Sharing of Personal Information

Service Providers. AL13® may transfer personal information to service providers that perform certain services on our behalf including data hosting and processing, shipping, customer service, call center, marketing and analytics and similar services. These service providers are only permitted to process personal information for the purposes of providing services to us, and for no other purposes.  Some of AL13®’s service providers may be located in countries whose data protection laws are not as protective as those in Canada, including in the United States.  As a result, these laws may permit government and national security authorities to access personal data in certain circumstances.

Business Transactions. We may use and disclose personal information to parties connected with the proposed or actual financing, insuring, sale or other disposal of all or part of our business or assets, for purposes connected to evaluating and performing the transaction, and carrying on the purchased business after the transaction has completed.

Cookies and Similar Tools

Like other sites, AL13® uses various technologies to collect information and track your activity when you visit AL13®’s sites.  In particular, AL13® may use cookies (small files sent to your browser to store information) or pixel tags (invisible images placed on certain pages of its sites) to collect information about your use of AL13® sites and other sites, and your equipment, browsing actions and patterns. When you share information using a social media sharing button on our sites, the social network will record that you have done this and will use this information in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Other Sites

AL13®’s sites may have links to other sites or services not provided by us, including social media sites that AL13® may use along with you.  These sites or services have different privacy practices and policies than AL13® and AL13® recommends that you to review their privacy policies to determine if they are acceptable to you.  AL13® is not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of third party sites. 

Safeguards

AL13® takes steps to protect your personal information in AL13®’s custody and control from loss, misuse, unauthorized access and alteration by using reasonable physical, organizational and technological security measures.  However, no system or security measure is completely secure. Any transmission of your personal information to us is at your own risk.
