Beyond Aesthetics: How Smart Cladding Transformed Langford
Langford Special Purpose Commercial Building was developed to support the city’s rapidly growing urban needs. Designed by B.C.-based WA Architects, this new build features AL13’s plank and panel systems.
The design takes a practical approach to its constraints: maximum durability and minimal maintenance, within a defined budget. High-impact areas prominently feature AL13 Panel System in Silver Metallic, installed diagonally to create a cross-hatched pattern. The faceted inset window accents and soffits feature AL13 Plank System, finished in Maple.
Fibre-cement panels were used in less prominent areas to keep the overall budget in check. This is another great example of AL13 systems working well with other materials to keep a project within budget.
AL13’s on-site cut-to-fit installation helped minimize material waste and streamline labor, further helping to keep the project on budget.
All AL13 systems are available in a wide range of finishes, including woodgrain, solid, and metallics. Our architectural finishes are guaranteed to last in any climate and look great for years to come.
